Sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself.
« on: December 27, 2011, 04:01:24 PM »
Went out calling Monday instead of trying to fill my archery deer tag.  Got up to the gate just at first light and could hear the coyotes howling all over.  Got to my first stand and setup.  Started playing my normal sequence and after about 40 minutes I hear some coyotes group howling but they sound pretty far away.  I am on alert and ready when a coyote sneaks in on me anyways.   :chuckle:  Some predator I am...anyway.  The coyote gets to about 30 yards and I cant move the camera or turn off the caller.  It is on full blast too.  The coyote does not seem to care and is transfix by the Mojo Critter.  I forgot to remove the strap from my gun and... well just watch the video.   :chuckle: :chuckle:

Full screen high res is better.  :chuckle:

Laughing makes it easier to deal with :chuckle: What does the sticker say on the side of your shotgun!
You can say the early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse always gets the cheese!

I carry #1 Buckshot during cougar season just in case one comes in.  I looked all over for sign of hair or blood but Im pretty sure it was a clean miss.  In the video you can see the branches move in front of the coyote.

It says "DONT TREAD ON ME"

I tested some 12ga hevi shot 3" dead coyote T shot last weekend at 100 yards. I had 9 pellets in a NRA shotgun target. At 70 yards I had 17 pellets in the target. I was shooting them out of a Benelli SBE II with a Carlsons Dead Coyote Choke.

Anyone seen similar results?

The airbrushing itself is amazing!  That's a pretty damn good talent there!

Will you airbrush the "Don't Tread On Me" for me?  :rockin:

I need to get some of those shells and try them out. I'm not suire I would want that tight of a group at that distance though, but I rarely even carry a shotgun
